Mark Ramdeen put in a Man-of-the-Match performance against Fatima College at Lewis Street this evening to give Naparima College their first home win of the Premier League season.
Naparima’s talisman in this campaign (so far) rose to the occasion in front of the home faithful and netted two brilliant goals to earn his team another three points.
The game started slowly with both teams looking pretty even early on. However, using their home support as an advantage, Naparima began to gain control of the match and Ramdeen stamped his authority with the opener in the 33rd minute.
On a trodden soggy pitch, it became difficult for both teams to move the ball around as they wanted to and they, consequently, had to play more direct football.
Ramdeen showed his class once again in the 77th minute to net his second goal of the evening and wrap up the points for the hosts. He now stands on four goals in as many games in the league this season, and is a strong early contender to be Top Scorer.
