Man of the Match
Saliba- 9/10 Very good positioning, awareness and aggression. He was calm and composed on the ball and delt with Palace’s attackers well. It was a toss up between him and Jesus but no one can argue that the Frenchman deserves it.

Starting XI
Aaron Ramsdale- 7/10 Had two poor clearances in the first half which could have led to goals, but commanded his box well.
Ben White- 7/10 Held his own against Zaha in the first half but was poor in the second.
Gabriel- 6.5/10 Solid performance from Gabriel. He had a moment of miscommunication with Ramsdale in the second half, but was solid overall.
Zinchenko- 7.5/10 Phenomenal debut from the Ukrainian. Battled for every 50/50 and progressed the ball really well. Palace targeted him in the second half with long diagonal passes but he recovered well.
Partey- 7/10 Cut passing lanes and broke Palace’s midfield line on multiple occasions with aggressive passes.
Xhaka- 6.5/10 He was given the license to make deep runs into the box and he did so. It wasn’t a great performance but he did his job competently.
Saka- 5.5/10 Quiet night from Saka. We saw glimpses of what he can do in the first half and but he faded away as the game went on.
Odegaard- 6/10 His passing and link-up in tight spaces was good but his final ball/decision was poor.
Martinelli- 7/10 Missed a sitter in the 4th minute but made up with a good header. Wasn’t heavily involved throughout the course of the game.
Gabriel Jesus- 8.5/10 He linked the play, ran the channels, dropped deep to help progress the ball and pressed really well. It was a wonderful performance from the Brazilian and he’ll be instrumental in Arsenal’s success this season.
