STARTING XI

Maignan- 8/10 Saved a penalty and everything that was thrown at him. He was also heavily involved in the first phase of play with his distribution/passing.

Florenzi- 7/10 Was solid defensively and progressed the ball well.

Kjær- 7/10 Led from the back with his tackles and interceptions.

Tomori- 6/10 Wasn’t at his best in the first half but he massively improved in the second.

Hernandez- 5/10 He was a constant offensive threat in the first 20 minutes but faded as Berardi got more involved in the game.

Pobega- 7/10 First start of the season and hardly put a foot wrong. He was replaced by Tonali in the 57th minute as Milan wanted more offensive firepower.

Bennacer- 8/10 Another Bennacer masterclass. He constantly cut passing lanes, made interceptions and switched the play.

Saelemaekers- 4/10 Gave away a poor penalty and wasn’t good enough on the ball or defensively.

Brahim- 6/10 The Spaniard found nice pockets and was productive with the ball. His final ball lacked quality but he was still good overall.

Leao- 6.5/10 He tortured Toljan for 30 minutes with his pace and trickery. However, he faded as the game went on.

Giroud- 5.5/10 Milan failed to provide service for the Frenchman. His link play was good and he even helped out defensively sporadically.
